messy maps & grimy gaps – Urbanaut*innen in Aktion – ist ein interdisziplinäres und interaktives Projekt, das Tanz mit urbaner Praxis verknüpft. Kinder erleben die Stadt spielerisch als fortlaufende Choreografie, an der sie aktiv teilnehmen und die sie mitbestimmen. Die Erfahrungen aus dem Stadtraum werden anschließend im Tanzstudio kartografiert, in Geschichten verwoben und vertanzt. messy maps & grimy gaps – Urbanaut*innen in Aktion – bringt erwünschten Ungehorsam der Jüngsten in das städtische Gefüge – ein „aus-der-Reihe-Tanzen“ zur Förderung der bewussten Teilhabe von Kindern am demokratisch-öffentlichen Raum sowie der Vorstellung, dass Tanz überall ist.

messy maps & grimy gaps – urbanauts in action – is an interdisciplinary and interactive project that connects dance to urban practice. Children experience the city playfully as an ongoing choreography which they actively participate in and help to determine. The experiences they gather in the urban space are then mapped in the dance studio, woven into stories and used as inspiration for their dancing.
messy maps & grimy gaps – urbanauts in action – brings desired disobedience of the youngest generation into the urban fabric. With a „fly-in-the-face-of-rules“ approach it promotes the conscious participation of children in the democratic public space as well as the notion that dance is everywhere.
